Chingay Parade

In the past, Chingay parade was part of deity's birthday celebration agendas, big flag carrying is the speciality for the procession. Albeit Chingay was originated from China but it was revolutionised and developed into a stunning performance, even can considered as a sport in Penang because the state government organises Chingay Championship every year.

Chingay no more belongs to Chinese purely but other races especially the indian also participated the procession and performed a great show in flag carrying stunt. Of course, that not more related to religion but one of the tourist program in Penang. In fact, many years ago Chingay almost broke up the linkage with religion before local government step in. Personally, I take it as one of the island festival.

Pantai Kerachut Trail

Today weather is really bad, nevertheless we took 1.10 hour to reach at first destination - Pantai Kerachut, where located inside Penang National Park, about 3 Km from the entrance. However, we surrender to bad weather and gave up Pantai Kampi though we almost half way to the place. Pantai Kampi is about 4.5 Km from the National Park entrance.

Luckily, one of my teammate asked to turn back, wow! so grateful! Quite tired and the path is slippy, muddy and the ramp is very slanting. My glasses was blurr due to streaming rain run over my glasses, almost half blind, anyhow we all securely retreat back to safety zone - Pantai Kerachut.

Regretfully, I can't shoot more photo for sharing, just few before water pouring, I think I will arrange one more trip but for photo shooting so the walking speed is not a concern. (I quite satisfy with the record 1.10 hr, hee....... ^_^)

Nowadays, the weather no more follow the 'schedule', it should be less raining in December, I think the change could attribute to green house effect. This is our responsibility to take care our environment else the 'day after tomorrow' will somewhere around the corner.
